Does anyone know which company makes this eye cup / eyepiece?

It's "vintage" and made in Germany.

The "logo" or what have you on the inside of the eye cup says "Z A" with a logo atop.

Ahh I see, thanks. How about the logo, does anyone know what company that's from? Or does that mean something else?

VEB Pentacon is the company; early 1960s amalgamation of Zeiss Jena, Meyer, others.

The logo is a representation of the Ernneman Tower which was the head quarters of Ernneman, one of the companies that merged to form Zeiss Ikon in 1926. East German portion of Zeiss Ikon then merged with others to form VEB Pentacon.

So, is it fair to say that it's a Zeiss? Or a "baby" Zeiss?

Could also be KW (Praktica) or Ihagee (Exakta) or some smaller concerns.

Ok, it sounds like "Zeiss" is too much of a stretch then.

I'll stick with pre-Zeiss (merger) Pentacon, since that is what that logo refers to.
