Making money!!!

Hello am 15 and soon getting a Lumix G2 just wondering how I could make money with my camera meaning either Comps or other stuff like sending pictures to the local news papers ect, any help would be much appreciated.

You should first learn how to use the camera that you are about to get. Also start reading about all the rules of photography.

Don't get ahead of yourself, you need a LOT of practice before you start charging people for work. If you try selling to a newspaper or other company, I'm pretty sure they're going to require your personal information for tax purposes.. and since you're only 15, I doubt that's going to fly.

Just slow down, take some pictures, learn, have fun.

Not with gas prices the way they are. Goats are fuel efficient.. but they take a long time to get the job done.

OP no joke man ur 15 and ur thinking like a 15y/o. Heck some grown ass people think like you. So no complain there. But as adviced and this is also from my personal experience/choice, don't worry about money. U r only 15 and this is a good time for you to learn. But who know u might learn very fast and may even start making money at 16-17. But if ur chasing money then that is the wrong way to go about it. I wish I started 12 years ago but it's never late to learn. Once u know the fundamentals than u will start to take better photos and with practice you will succeed.

But anyway my main point is learn an don't worry about money yet. I guarantee u, this will make u more successful for the long run.

What do you mean by Comps?

Newspaper don't pay much and they want photos that are timely and directly related to stories they are wanting to print in the next edition.

Many people give newspapers their photos for free, just so they can say they has a photo in the paper.

You could sell photos online. But, you need a ton of eyes viewing your web site on a daily basis.

About 85% of all the photos that sell, have people in them.
