Mamiya 645 Lens

I have a like-new 645 Super on its way to me with a 145mm lens. I'm wanting an 80mm also and need some advice. Would I be better off getting an 80mm f4 macro or an f2.8 regular 80mm? Thanks

If you plan to shoot close-ups then you'd be better off with the macro lens since that is what it's for though you could shoot at normal distance with it too.

Otherwise the 2.8 should suit you fine.

agreed. think of the macro as a specialized lens. if you are considering close focus, extension tubes are an option.

Thanks for the advice. I always tried to be deliberate when I used to shoot 35mm and that is what I plan on doing with the 645. I received my new shutter release cable today for tripod use. Looking forward to getting out next weekend and trying some shots. Pretty tied up this weekend. Have a good weekend.
