I'm beginning to think people in Cleveland are worse drivers than people in Philadelphia - say it isn't so!!

I'm beginning to think they are. I've/we've been hit more times in one year than the two of us combined, in our entire driving history. :shock:

I do a fair amount of driving around different places, and there are cities in North America where almost every car looks new, and others where they must have sponsored daily demolition derbies open to everyone. Although Montreal has the reputation of having bad drivers, much of that is due to discourteous drivers who are arrogant and aggressive. On the other hand, some places are full of nice, polite, but oblivious people, who are obviously as nearsighted as Mr. Magoo, and easily confuse the brake pedal with the accelerator. I can predict what an aggressive idiot will do, but it's much harder when a nice lady or gentleman starts meandering down the road drifting ever so gently in this direction, then that, and slowing down for imaginary animals. Them I give lots of space.

Bitter, have you considered putting out the boat fenders? or failing that, put a good-sized harpool on the hood, painted neon orange. That "might" get their attention.

YIKES! Hope they weren't hurt. My daddy always said "I can get another car. I can't get another You." He had to say that A LOT, as he went through FIVE of us teenage drivers.

We have the oh-so-dangerous mix of lots of old people doing 10 miles UNDER the speed limit and lots of young people doing 20 miles OVER the speed limit, while texting/listening to iPods/talking on the phone/eating/putting on makeup (sometimes all at once).

Not even kidding--a few days ago, I saw a woman at a stop light, with the phone to her ear, putting on makeup and holding a cup of what I assume was coffee. While smoking a cigarette. When the light turned green, I got the heck out of there before I could find out how she planned to steer.
