Interesting. The same thing happens from the continuous flow of water. Think of that as "life happening." There's no way to avoid that, any more than a rock can avoid water.

It is well known from census figures that woman live 5 to 10 years longer than men.
None of the scientific studies indicate than men are unhappy with this.

Don't discount serendipity. Sometimes a really successful shot "happened" because of unplanned and uncontrolled circumstances. Marriages also can change direction (for better or worse), under external influences (loss of job, loss of family member, unexpected opportunity, unplanned pregnancy, etc.). Probably the best one can say is that the ability to change with the circumstances is a very important trait, both in photography and in a marriage.

I just can't hop on board this thread.

I've never had the urge to upgrade husbands- (granted I'm only 7 years in) but I'm always drooling over the latest bodies. (Camera bodies of corse)

I wish! He has zero interest in photography. He prefers mechanics- which I suppose is okay since I've never had to take my car to the shop in 7 years.

Well, how about if a person test drives a lot of systems and doesn't commit to one until she is comfortable enough with herself to know what she really needs and wants as well as what crap she's not willing to put up with?

Why is it we get so soon old, and so late smart ? At this point, you are less concerned with length of lens, and more with spot focus.

Let's see here.....I am divorced. I like to routinely upgrade, and I have to see how they fit in my hands first before I commit. So....yep that's about right.
