Welcome!

#1 Looks like you nailed the focus and exposure. It does appear to be leaning to the left a bit. For me, I think the weakest part of the image is how part of the background is the strong repeating pattern on the building whereas the other part is sky, part of a tree, and overexposed clouds. I think you would do better to choose one or the other so that image would be more cohesive. I'm not sure if I like the green shrubs in the foreground...

#2 Try placing the lamp more toward the top of the frame and see if you like that balance better.

yeah, i agree, i wish i could have got a more clean shot of it. i kinda wanted to put the yellow flowers in the image to give it a little colors, but it ended up probably looking to big and the image is already pretty busy like you said. i tried a different angle but it was pretty much directly at the sun so that didnt work.

this angle isnt any better haha....

here is one i really loved, until i saw the building behind the state house, that really just sucked all the goodness out of it. Haha, well we learn everyday right. cant believe i didnt notice it while shooting... but it could probably be photoshoped out because the blue sky would work well there, no cloud where the building is

yeah i should probably just give her the camera and let her do the shooting. LOL, at least she still needs me to put the setting in the camera.
