Just got home studio set up with a backdrop and some used lights.. Never done this before, and these are - literally - the first portraits I've ever taken.. Comments welcome! I realize the lighting isn't the best, but they're the best today.. I think I'll play around with some cropping, but here's what I have so far... At least I have a happy/willing subject....

What an adorable baby! Your focus is GREAT just work on composition and you know... the lighting. Do you have anything for lighting?

Cute subject! Good focus as said above. I think these are underexposed, especially for an alert infant photo, and the color itself is too cool. The background is a bit too full of clutter IMO... distracts from the subject.

I think you've got something going here, though, so keep on shooting and post your stuff!
