nothinnn? Or am i just antsyy?

Give it some time, its dinner time in most areas around the country.
You cut his body/fins off, try again and get all of him.

But i was goin for more of a face shot than a full on body shot, as i always do those, and they get boring after a whileee. i was tryin to show off his fins and eye's in this onee

For a shot through an aquarium into water I'm impressed at the clarity/focus.

I do have to ask though... was it really your intent to cut him off like that or what is just how it turned out?

My intent, i had my 105mm micro on and was rather close to the tank. If i had been using my 50mm 1.8, then i would have been going for full body. I love it when the light from above highlights the eye, and i was trying to draw that out in this one.

Since in the OP he said it was very difficult, I would say its just how it turned out.

Either way, Crop it.

since thats a male they have very long fin trailers and are a very tall odd shaped fish so getting all of the fish in the shot wouldn't look right either, with angels I find the best pics are those when there is very limited negative space, kinda makes you forget theres more fish that could be in the pic

Nice shot though, looks like you cleaned the glass and everything lol

No, photoshop spot-heal brush cleaned some of the glass for me:lmao:

and yes, since this fish is about 8 to 10 inches tall and only 5 to 6 long, its awkard in full in a shot. Hence my intentional composition.

Rude and unnecessary

Really?? Thats the best advice, crop it down, way too much negative space to the left.

Why so the fish is in the dead center, and the photo reverts to first grade composition? Nahh, ill passs. I prefer the dead space on the left to balance out the fish on the right, and i hate center composition. Which you seem to be implying that center composition is THE BEST ADVICE.

I think not.

After all, I guess "Comments and critiques are NOT welcome!"

Apparently, maybe a edit will be welcome, i have a feeling it wont be. From all your comments, I think this is what you want.

You get it all, faceshot, fins, eye, negative left space. everything you mentioned, with good composition.
