Apparently, maybe a edit will be welcome, i have a feeling it wont be. From all your comments, I think this is what you want.

You get it all, faceshot, fins, eye, negative left space. everything you mentioned, with good composition.

Nice edit, not what i was expecting, but its nice. Other than recomposing, did you sharpen? It looks like you did, or maybe something else? Can't tell.

Either way, i do apologize for being quick to misjudge your "crop" comment. This is not what i had in mind, maybe extrapolate a little more next time, so its harder for me to misinterpret?

Well when i bought three, this guy and the lady paired off and killed the third, because they are very territorial fish (only a 46 gallon tank, so that was to be expected, but i didnt know until after).

What else was in the tank with them?

He haaaad bristlenose plecos, coral platys, the 2 angel fish n i think thats it in that tank, one mornin we woke up n they'd all died apart from the plecos! Some had completely gone missing. Soooo bizarre, he reckons they died of amonia poisoning but it was all so eerie, i tried to save one of the angelfish lol i was so sad about it!

hmm, had to be some sort of chemical poisoning, such as ammonia, seeing as how both the bn's and platys are basically peaceful fish. Thats sad!

Yeeaahh it was like all my gifts died - so i bought him some more pleccos and female fighters n took him to get a new 40gallon tank lol i know i know, im great, yeeaaah.

Sharpened and Curves.

I believe if you are going to cut off parts of the body, it needs to be a tight crop, to show the details. I feel the details in the fish stand out a ton over the original picture. Your instantly drawn to the eye and mouth
