Agency model.
Got light crazy.
Everyone loved it.
I hated it.

I kinda hate it too. I might like it if the light didn't get more normal at the bottom of the frame. Either flare out the whole frame, or dump the flare. This almost-but-not-quite business is no good.

JPEG artifacts in the hair, or does it really look like that, with the weird chunky black shadows popping out from the flare?

The clothes are ridiculous, but that's presumably not your fault? It's Fashion, maybe, but I'm not sure I'm even buying that.

All that said, I think there's some interesting ideas in here, and the potential for a very strong "look" built around those ideas. The execution needs to be sharpened up and clarified, though.

This proves this is gold.

But seriously. It looks just like something Guess would eat up. The jacket looks a bit funny with the wrinkle in it. Does seem to fit him that well. But whatever.

Interesting points. I modified the flare intentionally, however. I wanted there to be a focused penetration of light. A two light setup with one gel to create multiple colors.

Personally, I wouldn't wear the jacket either, I agree. However, the fashion trend is current and the wardrobe was provided by Armani. Looked good on the model. Wouldn't on me.

Appreciated. Guess, maybe. I noticed the wrinkle too. This photo was provided to you pre-post. We'll see what happens afterwards. haha

It didnt come from a resale shop so hes not down with it.

It's ok for fashion. The flare is really distracting, and doesn't really fit with the feel of the rest of the image.

Also, and I know this isn't really your fault, but the bunching on the left sleeve is really bugging me.

I'll be sure to PS that for ya! :)

I'm sure you will.

Just to clarify... I've been to your site, and most of your work is VERY good. It's just this particular image I'm not a huge fan of.

That strong localized red flare effect looks like the Instagram "Holga" filter effect....it looks uber-cheezy. Buuut...there's a segment of people for whom that cheezy Instagram Holga effect probably feels...hipsterish...of this decade...current... and they're okay with that...different strokes for different folks, you know???

I for one actually enjoy this image it looks very on trend. The bunching in the arm may be a tad annoying but it also suggests that the model is too cool to care. The fashion is actually great a blazer with a cool shirt underneath? That's totally Armani. In a good way. The problem I have is that his face looked like It had been softened and photoshopped way too much. Or maybe he had just been under the knife too much? He also should have bigger eyes/ raise the jaw a tiny bit and undo the sharp line on his jaw. And if it were a lens flair in a brick town house area or by a coast or something it might have been more translatable I think with those few changes it could be a great image!
