Merry Christmas Me! Getting a D50

After months of research and switching between point and shoots and dslr, I have finally decided to go with the Nikon d50. Through pricegrabber I found the camera and 1GB ultra II card for $763.50 shipped to my door. This is with the kit lens 18-55mm. Is there anything I should know about before I place my order? Anyone know of any good deals coming up soon or anticipate a price drop coming soon after Christmas?

I got one for christmas, i dont even know how to use it very well and it makes me look like a good photographer! Hah! I've got a good eye for composition, i just need to learn the tools. I LOVE my D50, im sure you will aswell!

Same here, I just picked up a battery grip, much better to hold ( I got big hands).
Way Way better than my coolpix 5400.
I Love it too!!! Now if I can just figure out what all it can do. :lmao:
