Natural light

I think you can up the expsorure a bit more. Where is the reflection on her eyes from?

That's what I like to call a Photoshop Catchlight ;)

I think the exposure is appropriate, but I'm not fussed on her expression. She looks like she's just watched an accident.

I think more space at the bottom of the frame is needed...her eyes seem a bit too high in the frame...the composition just does not feel right...with all of that light-colored masonry wall behind her, that "advances" and the dark "recedes" (a design principle that one cannot alter), and the black sweater she has, and then that big gray band across the bottom...all together the gray-black-light tonalities are making this unsuccessful as-shown. I think with more of her dark sweater at the bottom as a visual anchor, that it would be better. It looks as if her skin has been softened quite a bit in post...maybe more than is needed, but you're on the right track...the skin looks very 2010-ish, the way it's been PP'd.

Thanks Derrel...I needed to hear that as well...I will definitely keep that in mind with future photos...that'll give me a much needed boost to go out there and shoot some more...

Really appreciate the input Derrel, thats why I posted it. =)

Sure thing max. I just held my hands up to the screen and made Cropping L's out of 'em...you know, if that shot were to be cropped down really tightly, to an extreme closeup, it looks pretty good!

Her expression reminds me of curiosity. I think cropping it tightly really improves it, mostly by eliminating the light-colored wall, and by moving the position of her eyes, relative to the bottom of the frame.

I cropped it a bit, and copied and pasted and thus moved your logo over to the left a little bit to balance it. I think with her eyes higher in the frame, it looks better. It could possibly be cropped even tighter as well.

Damn... You nailed every point and a couple I didn't think of.

About the only thing I can think to add is I find the background very unappealing in general for this kind of shot. Just the whole color and texture don't work for me.

I will try a better crop when I get home tonight.
