I shoot a D7000, and currently have a 50mm 1.8 and an 80-200 2.8. Since some f
ckhat stole my 18-105 kit I need a midrange. I'm thinking a 17-35 because on a crop body that's about 25 - 52~ (or something). However I've read that it is soft between 2.8 and 4, which is a no-no. The 24-70 on a crop body is too zoomed in for a walkaround, so I'm leaning away from that. That would be my choice if I had a FF body. Any recommendations?
