Minolta DiMAGE Z2

I am looking to buy my first digital camera. I can't afford an SLR at the moment so I am looking at the Minolta DiMAGE Z2 4.0 MP SLR type camera.

I am interested in this one as it has an SLR feel to it and has a hotshoe for external flash.

Does anyone here own this camera, have an opinion on it or suggest a better alternative?

I have a Z1 and the 2 things I don't like about it are is that it only goes down to F8 and the eyelevel viewfinder is an LCD which, when viewing, doesn't look near a good as how the shot will turn out.

On the other hand, it's light, fast, and you have a macro to 380 zoom with no extra lenses to buy or carry around. That 10X zoom will spoil you rotten to the core.

I think it's a step above regular point & shoots, but not as good as a DSLR.
