Minolta SRT101 Won't Fire

Found my old Minolta SRT101 the other day that I bought new around '72. Cocked the film advance but it won't shoot. The button on the bottom that you push to open the back when you pull the film rewind knob up won't pop back out either. Does this sound like a big problem or just something small. Was thinking about buying a couple of lenses off ebay and start using it a little. Let me know your opinion on the remedy for this please.

You're looking at around a $100 for a competent repair--assuming it's possible. Try Garry's Camera Repair who still does SRT service. Ask around at photrio.com.
