Minolta XG-M Problem

My Minolta XG-M seems to be having a problem and I am not sure if the problem is with the shutter or the curtain or both. The shutter release works but no matter the speed from 1-100o , it only releases crazy fast. Recently I got new batteries hopping that was problem.
Is the dial broken? Or any suggestion to fix?

With some research, you'll probably discover Minoltas of that generation suffered from a range of electronic failures--some fixable, others not. Google XG-M problems and see what's what. There's a good chance Minolta used so-so quality electronic components that didn't last. After three used X-700 bodies crapped out over a couple of years, I gave up and went back to old mechanical SRT series cameras just to keep shooting my old Rokkor lenses.
