I spent a day visiting the three historic missions of El Paso: Socorro, Ysleta and San Elizario. Here are some of my favorite images from that day:

The distance is relative. From my hotel in El Paso, I was looking at a 600 mile round trip drive to visit Big Bend National Park. So, I couldn't make it to Big Bend this time. But, I plan to return to Big Bend for a future trip.
