Thank you all. And yes, as a result I much prefer Photo 2 over the first, though my eyes thought No.1 would turn out nicely, too.

Both are nice, but I like #2 better as posted. Have you tried cropping #1 to make more of a panoramic, the foreground seem a little too large.

Very nice, the colors are lovely in the #2 .
The #1 is quite misterious, try it in B&W to give a "ghost" feeling...

Really like the fog, lighting and isolation of the trees in the fog in the 2nd shot. Good capture.
