Modded SB-600 anyone?

I ran across this article online. I was wondering if anyone on here has ever modded a sync port into their flash. It looms so clean but I would hate to screw something up!

Well, you could go to all that trouble, or AS-15 Sync Terminal Adapter (Hot Shoe to PC) from Nikon

Edit: Whoops! You still need somewhere to plug into the SB-600. So for $14 - http://flashzebra.com/products/0115/index.shtml

I'm a DIY'fer too and I did this mod to my SB600's and my Quantaray PZ-1 DSZ's a while ago, and if you have any experience soldering this is a very easy mod, I can do them in 15 minutes now.

Awesome. I have soldered wired together before, but I have never soldered anything to a grid. :s

soldering is pretty easy but you can do it wrong believe it or not. im an industrial electrician, send me a message if you want a quick how to.

This video has good tips on how to solder correctly, I will also suggest that you practice a lot before doing this mod, if you have an old radio or electronic clock that you don't need take it apart and practice soldering on the circuit board.
