I have the ColorMunki Pix. I really can't compare it to the other one but those are the only two I considered. I am not really sure what made me decide on the Munki as they both are popular.

After each of my calibrations, I notice a very slight difference on the before and afters.

I use it on an Asus 27" IPS and Wifey sometimes on the IMAC.

Most online print labs and image editing experts recommend X-RITE's devices.

i have been looking at colormunki -vs- spyder4pro Google searches today, but the comparisons seem kinda random in actual information and almost inconclusive.
Its possible that the two are just that close in performance.

two more questions i forgot about.
1: I went with those models because they both have sensors to measure ambient light, not just what is flashing on the monitor. does this matter? Or do the cheaper models
without the ambient light sensor calibrate just as well?

2: In my research, colorimeter vs spectrophotometer was mentioned several times. If I am understanding the specs right, both of these are colorimeter, correct?
Its not really as relevant to my choice because i believe the spectrophotometer's were much more expensive and im not going to spend the money when the
colorimeter will work just fine.

The ambient light sensor is more important, if your office/editing room, has windows that would allow the ambient light to change drastically during the day.

My office is in a basement with a rather small window (which is mostly covered anyway), so the ambient light sensor wouldn't be much use for me.
