Monstrous clouds (snapshot grade, backyard)

[Jarrod268]

I had a storm moving in yesterday evening - normally I would not post snapshot type stuff but I wanted to share these clouds with you.

Is the snap shot part a joke? LOL Those are beautiful.

Not really, I was hand holding my D90 - didn't really pay much attention to composition and I was in a rush to capture it. I got some video too - the clouds were coming in with a very slow roll to them. That large thunderhead rolled out of the other clouds and then it became back lit. I was in awe.

Thanks - I thought it was one of the most ferocious cloud formations I've seen.

One does not simply walk into Mordor....

Thanks for sharing, those are epic clouds!

Epic clouds indeed! Way cool man. Photos have weak foreground elements, but yeah, these are snapshots--memories, recordings, of something you happened to see...still, lovely subject matter. Not every shot has to be fine art.
