So I went out and took a few shots at the moon (with my camera, of course ). I shot it in RAW and did some PP in Lightroom. Here's the before and after. Before (only PP done is crop): After: Yeah, not the best shot, but it was the best out of the ones that I got. I was experimenting with shutter speed and aperture. Camera: Nikon D60 Lens: 55-200mm f/4-5.6 Focal Length: 200mm F-Stop: f/11 Shutter Speed: 1/100 second. ISO Speed: ISO 100
it seems pretty dark to me. I've only done 1 moon shot in my life so I may not be the one to give good CC.. it was a while ago, but if I recall, I shot it at f8.. which at the time was what lots of people told me to try it at..
Yeah, but if I lighten it up too much, the background becomes a brighter blue, which I don't like. I didn't shoot this at night, I did it late in the evening because we had some clouds rolling in and I didn't want the clouds to be in my way.
