Photos OK to edit
My girlfriend is the logistics coordinator for a building currently under construction, and she asked me to take a few interior shots to post on their website to show progress. Sooo, I thought to myself, what a great opportunity to get out the vintage fisheye again! For those of you who don't know about my adventures with this lens, it's a 1970 production, Nikkor 10mm f/2.8 fisheye lens. Since it's on my D5K, I don't get the true circular image I would with FF. These are two different angles of the same room. Thoughts on the images?

*Edit* Now that I post the images, it also looks like the first one might be a tiny but underexposed, too. Or maybe both? Ah h*ll, I don't know...

Straighten them out with photo shop or some other similar program and crop the vingetting and you'll have keepers.

your exposure looks terrific....i especially like the second image...

Do people read?

Personally, I'm not a fan of the vignette the lense created. I agree with above, fix it in post before posting it on your girl's website.

You'll probably get tired of the fisheye effect sooner or later.

I think both images needs both brighness and contrast.
(i like bright contrasty photos :) )

Something like this maybe?

I know I missed a little of the vignetting, but I lose too much of the image if I crop it all out. Not to mention I'm already losing the full 180 deg FOV. Also corrected some for the distortion.

love the pics and love the place!!!! Excellent designer!

Thanks! This is one of three restaurants inside the building, each of which was designed by a different designer. This one I believe will serve Chinese food. Apparently the things on the ceiling are chop sticks... Can't remember what the other two will serve.

Agreed. But this lens not only has value for creating this specific effect, but it also has significant sentimental value. But, that's why I reserve it for limited use.

Personally, I agree with you and think that Brian Boitano is seriously overrated when it comes to judging personalities in the log cutting competition.

True, but his exploits on the food network are simply beyond reproach.

Here's another one of the restaurant spaces. This photo's definitely not as good as the others, though.
