Thank you...during my short stay, the town seemed quite depressed. However, there are a number of very nice motels still operating on the main drive and I ate at a good restaurant that was rather crowded in town the night I was there.

Thanks Derrel...I found it to be interesting with all of the Route 66 influence still there in town.

Yes...I didn't drive up the mesa. Until now, I didn't know that was a possibility!

There is a road on the south side that leads to Clovis. There are locations you can take up and get some really nice overview shots.
