can anyone tell me how long the camera needs to be exposed to sun for there to be any significant signs of light leaks on film? or any other kind of information on this subject? the foam in my slr is starting to wear but I'm not so opposed to the light leak look.

There is no one, single exposure test time to use. I would say base it on how long you usually are out & about with a camera, with film in it, in direct sun.

No way to tell, lightleaks are crazy. :biglaugh:If unsure tape the seems of the back door with black electric tape.

As they said ... there is no "formula".
It can be fractions of a second, or minutes ...
If you see the seals degrading it is best to replace them ... as I really don't understand this Lomo style thing.

Light leaks ? Or tape ? :1219:

It could also depend on the angle. My Land Camera had several pinholes in the bellows and would leak only sometimes depending on the angle in relation to the sun (my usual light source.)
