hmm I have no idea what it is -but it looks more metalic than buggy to me.
I would hazard that it some metallic component of something.

It's obviously a brass/copper cylindrical object that's crimped on one end. I was thinking a .22 cartridge, but those aren't crimped.

Yeah, I thought of a rimfire bullet as well, but they wouldn't have a silver center like that/.

I can't believe I didn't think to put extension tubes on my x-mas list. This looks like fun.

I think we need a hint. Clearly something metallic as has been pointed out, but I haven't got a clue what it could be. Are we looking at the bottome of it? Top? side? inside?
