Hope you like looking at pics cause I love to take them! I moved my horse to a new boarding facility and thought I'd grab some pics while there.

Horse: :thumbup: Background: :thumbdown: The difference between an okay picture and a great photograh is often the way the photographer addresses the background. If you have access to both the animal and the facility, then you have lots of options. Look around for a plain, less distracting background (the angles and lines in the fence tend to pull the eye all over the place) and use your longest glass at your largest aperture and put as much distance between the subject and the background as possible. That aside, they're a good start! Keep it up.

I'm working with the 15-55mm lens that came with the camera. I'm assuming by longest glass, you're saying lens??

Yes, sorry, longest focal length. I was hoping you might have had the 55-200mm as well, but since you were already at 55mm, then just try to get as much separation between subject and background as possible.

Ok, thanks. I'm looking for used lenses now. Its hard for me to justify to my fiance' getting a $200 lens to "Play" around with.
