Hi All,
This is my first post so apologies if this is in the wrong place.
I have just moved from having a series of compacts (last Sony HX9) to a DSLR - a Canon 7D and I originally thought I could manage with 2 lens so I bought a wide angle Sigms 10 - 20mm and a Canon 70 - 200mm L F4 (non IS) but after reading through various mags etc. it seems I may need a carry around lens for general work. With this in mind I'm looking at either the Sigma 17-70mm OS 2.8/5.4 or the Camon 17 - 85mm IS. Most of the reviews are inconclusive in that the Sigma fans favour the Sigma and Canon the Canon. I should mention that my use is for holidays and mainly landscapes with occasional wildlife (if I can ever get close enough)
Can anyone offer any advice as to which is the most practical lens of the two - or is there another option?
