Mother and Son

Just got my 5d last night and today was able to link up with a good friend of mine and her son. Here are some of the pics i was able to come out with. CC is always welcome and i would love to know what i can do better with! I am fairly "green" at shooting people. Cars are my forte lol.

Nooooo , i left it inside and realize after looking at the solo shots of Jason that i should have used one to fill his face in. Next time! It was more or less a very brief (~10min) shoot to test the camera out

Nice snaps. In #4 I would have put them more to the left, off center. Landscape or horizontal orientation is ok here but I would straighten it as it adds too much drama to a scene where you want peace. In the last pic Mum looks worried. Is that what you where going for, does she fear for the safety of her child? Especially since the horizon is slipping down the way she is looking.

i guess in a round about way, yes she is worried for her child in this picture as Jason has his first cold ever! lol. He was snotting and coughing all over the place which i believe was happening in this capture. Thanks for the CC!

As a guy I have to say I like #3 a lot, but not for very good reasons.

The last two are quite sweet and touching, but mom's near eye looks rather odd in the last one, which is too bad since it's emotionally the strongest of the lot.
