Moved to FX. Need a "budget" low power wide-telephoto lens

You could put virtually any of more than 250 models of Nikon f-mount lenses on your new d610. You could make good pictures with almost anything. No need to wait

I have a Tamron 28-75 f2.8 that gets the job done, and I had some pretty good success on my D600. They run around $300 or less used.

I found it to be a pretty solid imager for the price.

I never came back to update this thread.

I ended up finding this lens for $250 locally and grabbed it. Been using it since.

Though I'm currently waiting for a deal on a tamron 24-70 g2.

Lots of AI, AIS, AF and AFD zooms are cheap nowadays and most are very good so just choose the focal length range you want.
