Finally got a left seat flying to Seattle.

Neat shot. How did you manage this without getting any window reflections? I would crop some of the sky out of it so the mountain/volcano is in the lower left thirds position, but that is just my personal preference. Right now, you have the horizon in middle of the image and cropping it down would get away from this.

Part of it was luck; the light was in the right direction, and of course, I had the lens of the phone against the glass. And the Samsung seven takes DNG files, which made processing easier.

I wanted to get the river in the shot, so cropping low wasn't an option. Could have cropped high, though.

But then that Indigo high atmosphere would have been lost. Have to break a rule sometimes, if you want to get what you want.

No problem - breaking rules is definitely okay - I do it all the time - how about a square crop? I notice that you have a bit of the airplane in it as well .
