The vegitation seems to eat the sound- all you can hear is the water. It's wonderful!

Am I remembering correctly that there was a "quiet" path or a sign asking for quiet in a certain area?

Cathedral Grove is a 'quiet zone' with signs posted seeking silence in respect of the local wildlife.

I came back for another look. Man, Redwoods are simply awe inspiring. Not to diminish the Coastal Redwoods ... but ... have you seen the Sequoias?

The Redwoods are wonderful, but Kings Canyon and the Sequoias are a religious experience (no cliche intended). I love this state.
