Mule deer and some dog pics

Took these a few days ago at the beach. I was hoping to take some bird pics, but there wasn't much down there apart from some seagulls so I took some dog pictures:

2. cut off the tip of her ear unfortunately. I only had my 70-300 and I wishing I had brought the 50

3. and the day after I got a deer pic while I was driving around running some errands. The goofy ears reminded me of my dogs

Your dog is beautiful. What it's name? I'd guess on the breed but I am worng 50% of the time. I've never seen a mule deer, thanks for sharing!

haha you would definitely be wrong if you tried to guess her breed. She is quite a mix. Her full name is Princess Maya Wolfenstein but I just call her Maya. Her dad is a Newfoundland/German Shepherd mix and her mom is a husky/wolf.

There are so many mule deer around right now. Some days when I am driving close to sunset I see hundreds. It is hard to get too close to them because they're usually on farmer's fields (private property) or if they are beside the road my boss's dog barks his head off and scares them away. It was just me and Maya when I saw this one and fortunately she isn't a big barker.
