Alright guys, to celebrate the new year I'm posting my 10 favorite photos from 2010. Keep in mind that I just started learning photography seriously in May of 2010, so I think I'm doing pretty good. They are not in any particular order.

C&C if you wish, but that's not necessarily the point of this thread.

Thanks man! I think that motocross shot might be my favorite out of the bunch

I have made a trip to your website and liked many pictures there, more than some pictures here; but that is a matter of taste only; you started venturing only recently and you have matured very fast

Regards :D

The water drops were shot with a nikon D40, and a mix of the 18-55 kit lens, and my 70-200 2.8. The water was in a clear glass cake pan, on a white towel. I used a lightstand and some clamps to hold an eye dropper over the pan in one place, so that it couldn't move. Set an object in the water to pre-focus on (I use a potato masher, but you can use anything).

The real key is lighting. I took them at 1/60th, iso 200, and f13. I had an sb-600 flash set up camera right bouncing into a piece of foamboard behind the pan. The color is just a few drops of food coloring. Your shutter speed won't be fast enough to freeze the motion, but flash is.

Hope this makes sense, I'm still half asleep.
