This was my first time ever shooting the fireworks and thought I'd share them.

I think these turned out great, I love the colors and the absence of noise in the pictures.

It was my first time trying to shoot fireworks. I "think" they turned out pretty good...but I'm no pro, so it always helps to get others opinions because they always catch what I don't see.

Exposure looks great and the colors really pop. Very nice job, especially considering it is your first time.

One thing to watch is making sure you get the whole thing in the frame. Not sure if these are cropped or not but several are cut off.

I think they're very good and outstanding for a first attempt. I don't agree that you always need to get the whole burst in the frame -- that's a compositional issue and not always important or wanted. #7 and #8 are my favorite.

The problem I am having with fireworks images (my own included) is that they become boring (no matter how technically perfect) unless there is something else in the frame to add interest. This requires positioning yourself to get that extra something (e.g. a city scene, a crowd scene, etc.). That's what I'm going to try for next year.

The problem (which will be corrected NEXT year lol) is that we were directly down town where they were letting them off. The pictures weren't cropped (gosh, I could only imagine). There were thousands of people there...you couldn't even move. People walking in front of the camera and everything was really against me that night. Next time, I won't go down town, but find a better spot somewhere further away. I do have a 100-300mm zoom lens if needed and I get too far away.

I did shoot with 2 different lens on these (switched mid way during the fireworks). I had a kit lens 18-70 and then the prime lens 28mm. I could definately tell the difference. One of my favorites (especially in the original 3872 x 2176) is the 6th one down. I have it as my desktop. It captured so many of them in the frame and the fountain going down...it just looks so much better bigger.

But I understand about not getting the entire fountain in the display. I was a little bummed about some of the bigger burst that went out of frame. I guess I learned my lesson about getting too close. Next time....

Nice colors. Sharp shots too. Its ashame i will miss my countries independence day. I'll have to wait till christmas and new years to get any fireworks. Good job

I like your photos. I did try to shoot some fireworks myself but it isn't easy at all.
