My bestfriends wedding

Aw leave her alone guys. Its a matter of personal opinion. I think they are both good shots. As far as the stealing the photographers shot, Ill leave that alone, being as I am not a wedding photographer and have no room to talk, hehe :)

i think both of the shots are screw ups...... they look like snapshots..... it looks like there was no thought, creativity, or effort were put into them. just my opinion

While your picture is nice and dreamy, it does not in any way shape or form depict real colors... just by obvserving this on my monitor... These are "night and day" shot comparisons my dear. Your shot is nice. It is up to the observer to decide what they like in any situation or photograph. I am sure you picture can be appreciated... but however... you would be short pressed to sell it on a large scale.

Speaking of large scale... do you know what size you can blow your pic up to my dear? Its nice to look at, but it may not be so nice at 8x11 or 11x14 because it lacks the depth of the "KCL" photograph.

I am glad you inspire to do this. I hope you may persue this and learn... maybe someday you will own your own camera that is more professional and know the ins and outs of photography. If you have no desire however... I would warn you to keep your mouth shut in regards to criticising a professional, be it a friend of yours or friend of the married couples family. Its just bad etiquette. Ok?

Oh and we have all rights to post her pics. One she's a friend and two she gave us all discs to what we want.
Actually, the rules of this site specify that we are not allowed to directly post any photos that we did not take...so I'll have to change it to a link.

I'm in the crowd that prefers the pro's shot. Of course, it's personal opinion and if you like the colors in your shot, then that's great. It's a little too neon for me. On the other hand, the pro's shot is a bit too washed out for me. I'd like to see it a stop or two underexposed from the pro's shot to really bring out the red, yellow & orange of the sky...without getting too much blue & purple.

Wow this is the second thread in as many days, where someone misjudged big time the response of the forum members. First it was hitman "can I print from the viewer CD" and now this. I don't see how either OP thought they'd get a favourable response from the members :?:

Personally both shots have flaws, the neon blue dress in one and the overexposure and lack of saturation in the second.

I agree... and the second shot could have used some fill flash at least. :)
