No. That happened on transverse leaf springed cars (Herald/Vitesse/Spitfire/GT6) and it isn't a bing problem to be honest. Swing spring help solve it as it allowed the car body to pivot on the top of the diff so it rolled and the chassis stayed level. Later GT6's and Vitesse has Rotoflex but I don't know a great deal about them.

TR4a's have completely different rear suspension.

I've got an old Autocar section on TR4a's at home which I can try and scan in and PDF for you if you wish. But I probably won't be able to do it for over a week.

Oh that would be very neat to see.

My buddy must have gotten his wires crossed. Years ago I read a Triumph buyer's guide and I recall making the decision that the 4A was the way to go. Recently when I mentioned I'd like to get one, he balked and said the 4 was the better car, but he's probably confused.

He tends to have to know everything... one of those kids of guys, you know? :)

God don't get me thinking about Triumphs. Bad bad bad. :lol:
