great photo. i like the crop myself but i bet someone will tell you not to crop off his foot and head.

Indeed they will. I like this image. A lot, BUT while the cropped toes are something that can be overlooked, in this case, the head is not. As a general rule of thumb, when you're composing and you have the shot framed in the viewfinder just the way you like it, open it up just a little more to allow for issues like these.

I overlooked it.. for the expressions and moment captured in the photo, the tight framing on top doesn't really seem so important. I wouldn't intentionally have resized and cropped through his head, but if that's how it got framed when taken, no big deal. It's still a really good photo.

Sure, for static shots you should try to avoid losing body parts with awkward crops. But for a dynamic image like this it helps convey that youthful energy THAT JUST CAN NOT BE CONTAINED!

I like this shot. I'm guessing the vignetting is natural, not added in post?
