My Crazy Head Shot

Been sick for a while.
So I thought I would shoot whatever I found interesting, such as my motorcycle helmet.

So without further adoo ... my crazy head shot

Thats quite a helmet! The reflections bother me a bit, though I am not sure exactly how you would avoid that. A light tent maybe?

yeah, the reflection bugged me too - you should have seen the first ones. that is one shiny helmet with very bright colors.
I ended up having to bounce off the ceiling, with umbrellas.
I guess I could have underexposed and brought it up in post but I was trying for straight out of the camera.

I have to have some really soft diffused light and I just couldn't get it. My last attempt was shoot thru umbrellas towards the ceiling, which is what i got. I didn't feel like pulling out the brolly's which could have helped some maybe.

I'd think a polarizer wold cut them down a little, and isn't post.

As long as it's not unpainted metal, you should see some reduction.

I only quickly put up my background ... you can see some ripples

white muslin, blown out by a flash so you don't see *all* the wrinkles
