A couple of things you can try. 1) back the light off the subject to increase the spread of light and 2) use some sort of diffuser to even out the light.
As is, the light source is way too harsh on the subject causing the hard shadows and intense reflected surfaces of the armrests. I'm also concerned about the ring of light on the back wall.
yeah i had an umbrella on it, This is my first time using my light and i cant get this lighting to work. I'm using that light and a canon 430ex as my main and when i take the pictures with a 60 shutter the pictures are so dark you cant even see them. Does anyone know why they turn out like this
