I adore this horse. This is Shameless, my big dun gelding.

I'm really, really upset with myself . I spent an hour making his wreath, another 30 minutes grooming him because he rolled in the mud before I got him in the stall, and then another hour doing various poses and backgrounds and in EVERY SINGLE ONE the reins are just...ugh. I didn't bother editing any of them but this one, even though I nailed focus and composition on almost every one except for a few. I guess that's the life. I have a shoot with a friend of mine and her gelding, she's also an amateur photographer, so we will nail it next round haha.

Facebook quality.

Here's my pretty boy without that wreath and the reins in the way

I think the rein placement in #2 is very nice. Good set.

Thank you, appreciate that. That day (with the proper rein placement) he would actually stand in place quietly no matter where I went. He isn't a patient horse. The first photo, he kept wanting to walk out position so my husband was being helpful by holding him. But, we all know how it goes. We think we have it in the bag, then open them for processing and notice something that just tanks the shoot. I took the time and edited one photo with the reins out, but I would much rather just reshoot and instill that idea in my head to pay more attention.

I'm looking forward to this shoot with a fellow equestrian. Horses are my passion, photography is a distant 2nd, combine the two and I'm in heaven.
