I've always loved boarded up homes and buildings. Urban decay has always been beautiful to me. I took these photos in Philadelphia, Detroit, and various other cities that I've visited. Let me know what you think! :)

On most of them the sky is over exposed and they are just not that intersting imho.

Considering how I took most of these from the passenger seat of a moving car, I don't think they're all that bad. lol.

I didn't really fiddle around with exposure, either, and my camera's far from a professional one.

But, I appreciate your input.

No sir...

That would have been my next guess.

What do you do if the subject is not your FAVORITE thing to photograph? I mean I would expect you to put a bit more effort into the photo if you have such a strong belief in the subject matter.

Next time, use a cell phone.

I'm at a bit of a disadvantage compared to most of this forum's members - I'm 16 years old. So, I can't exactly walk around those areas and experiment with different angles and whatnot. While this may not be my BEST work, I just wanted to throw a few photos out there.

Not being funny Trevor but we don't really care for excuse's on this board. If you want your work c&c-ing then post the best you've got, not a hap dash effort from the back of a moving car. I'm not as experienced as others on here, but i can see a crap pic when i see one, and i call it, and i know a good pic when i see when, and i call it. If you're serious about photography then do the best you can, post them and then asked how you could do better. People on here don 't pull any punches and they will tell you how to improve. If you want a pat on the back then you've come to the wrong place. Sorry to be blunt but thats the way is.

What does your age have to do with it? I didn't see anyone with a gate checking ID's. When I was 16 I had a lot more time on my hands then I do now. You seem to get around the country quite well despite your.... age.

Post up your BEST work.

If I had to choose it would be this one. I see the most potential for a decent photograph in it.

There is a lot more to photographing urban decay than looking at boarded up windows.

Yeah, thats one of my favorites, too.

Do you have any examples of urban decay photos that you think are good?
