Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm finally getting into photography. My first camera is the Canon EOS T3i with 18-55mm lens. I love the fact how easy it is to just point and shoot. Anyway, here's my first 2 shots....ever...with this camera and to be honest....I was shocked how well, to my eyes at least, they came out! These are very small flowers, probably only 3 inches across so I used the macro setting and I couldn't believe how detailed and colorful they looked. These are un-edited images. I would be grateful if anyone could comment on them. Thanks for viewing!

I like the Blanket Flower (yellow) the best but both came out okay.

Welcome to the world of photography and to our forum. Today's cameras can be anything you want them to be. Shooting as a Point & Shoot has its advantages, but it's not the way to go if you want to become serious about photography. I would highly recommend that you read the manual, and learn how to use the various options and controls. The more control over the camera you understand, and can comfortably use, the more creative you can be.

As far as your two pictures go both have the subject dead center. It's more pleasing to the eye if you off center it, and it makes for a more creative composition. DOF in pic #1 is a little too much leaving the background too much in focus. The DOF in pic #2 is just about perfect.

The yellow one is well composed, well exposed. Welcome to the forum!
