Some of my first shots with a DSLR, tell me what you guys think

#1...I can't really put my finger on it, but one thing is maybe its just too centered? and #2 looks too grainy and blurry or something, but I'm really liking #3. Very cool concept =)

#3 I really like. #2 Just doesn't move me.

#1 is complex and intrigueing. I like the flow of the water and the shape and movement. I especially like the texture in the flow of the water. What I really don't like is the background. I think you made the right decision to try to blur them into the shadows, but it's still pretty obivious it just a bunch of people milling around. That's fighting the dynamics of the water in the foreground. I'd go one of two ways to try to make it work. One approach would be to simply crop it tight to the fountain and force it into the center of attention...

The other approach might be more complicated to do but would give you more to work with in the composition. That is, pull it into PS and add a good deal of blur to the background... to the point that it's just a mass of light and dark shapes. Then take a step or two back and see where the image looks the best. I too think it might be too centered.

The 3rd one is the best of the bunch. I would just crop it a little dif. The top balls that are out of focus are a little too distracting. I would crop some of the top off. It's still a pretty cool shot. I might try this somewhere.......=)

The first one is neat but other then that not that interesting. The background also kills it.
