Couple months ago, I decided to attach my D5200 to an old telescope I had in the garage.
It USED to be a great telescope when it was new - a Meade LXD75 10 inch scope.
I didn't have (still don't) the proper adaptors to get the camera correctly attached to the scope, so I ended up using some redneck remediation and with a combination of twisties, duct tape and a few dozen rubber bands, I managed to get the sight tube lined up with the camera.

My question is, how do I get rid of the "blur" at the edge of the moon?
Also, considering what I was working with - do these even come close to being considered "good?"

try making sure shutter speed is at or above 125, then compensate your ISO
I think the halo may disappear.

I looked up closely at the photos. They are very good for your first time in a while. especially using duct tape.
Use a remote on the camera, MUP - shutter up first click, then photo the second and it will improve a bit more.
