I have an employee who has a daughter turning 1. She wanted to do the "cake smash" session and saw that I take pictures. I explained to her the difference between and professional photographer and me and she asked if I'd try it. She offered to pay, but not knowing what results I'd get, I told her to consider it a favor and if she wasn't happy with them she could pay a professional.

All in all I don't think they turned out awful and it gave my 14 year old a chance to be a second shooter.

Overall, not bad. It looks to me like your DoF might have been a hair too shallow (based on the sharp and OOF areas), but overall, you did okay.

Next time wait until right before sunset. Your lighting is too harsh especially in those first three. I like the last one with the even light. [emoji16] cute!
