These are some shots from my first commercial studio session. Shot on a Nikon D5100 + crappy kit lens (Santa, I can haz 1.8g 35mm?)

Let me know your thoughts!

bump? :(

the look a little underexposed to me. and the shadowing in the first is pretty severe. the shadowing in the second makes her look like she has a black eye. i love the pose in the first, but unless you were trying for such a dark shadowed look some fill flash would work wonders. if you were going for that look, you pulled it off well, it just isn't my cup of tea. she is sexy though. talk her into doing some topless shots so u can post them. :greenpbl:

where are you in Florida? if you are near the Orlando area, and you need some off camera flashes, faster lenses (zooms or primes) or anything like that, maybe we can help you out next time you shoot.

If your customer is the event on the tee-shirt, then I think they would be somewhat disappointed in the fact that it is not very legible.

She seems kind of cramped inside of the frame on both. I have no clue what the client could possibly be...the event on the T-shirt? A shirt maker? a clothing boutique??? I dunno...she looks kind of edgy, but on the right hand frame, that handless-wrist and arm looks weird...the shot on the left looks underexposed, and the color is weak...it might look better converted to B&W, and with some texture overlayed on it...same with the right-hand shot...might look cool with the image tweaked very heavily...I am 'imagining' what the client is...I think these images can be made to look a bit more "edgy", and that'll help somewhat.

Ahhh, my friend Google....Stockholm Eyes in The Dark....download the entire album for FREE!!! A Florida, USA-based indie-rock band!!! STOCKHOLM - EYES IN THE DARK

Utilize the cloning tool and get rid of her acne and smooth her skin just a bit. Lighting could have been a bit better but it's not horrible. Some of the shadows are a bit odd. And find some friends that shoot Nikon so you can borrow some lenses or at least drop the $200 and get a 50mm. For this kind of work you could get an m42 and an adaptor and get the job done. Manual focus but you have nicer glass.
