What's new

My first people shoot in awhile C&C

They're kids, they should be having fun! Maybe at a park, playground, places kids like to play and have fun.

lol, the girls all look so EMO. Work on your poses and use pose ideas that match the product. As bitter said, have them dancing, laughing, having fun..not sitting in a field all alone with their head down, starting out into an open field, and last but not least ... (LMAO) the little girl under an abandoned bridge (seriously, wtf is up with that).

I'm not a huge selective coloring fan, but I think it's done fairly decently.

Edit: images STILL not numbered.
This is not an excuse this is actually not my fault. the bridge is actually a railroad track and her mother told me to take pics on this exact spot. I did the best I could with my limited knowledge in a spot I have never seen before.

As a photographer (paid or not), you should know what locations will work and let your clients know. If you can't work around it and it's looking like sh%$, you should know better than to shoot at that location. Pointing the finger won't lead to improvement.

This thread is what TPF is all about!!! Right, Schwettylens?

Right, RauschPhotography?

Right, gsgary?

Right, Geaux?

Only in a Kbarredo thread that gets TPF this fired up, what a way to start a Friday eh? Anyways your photos are super saturated. We don't even see their face or see them smile! There's only one shot with the kid looking at the camera. If you can't get them to look at the camera, they are kids and they should be doing something fun and you should snap some of those shots. How long have you been shooting? Do you feel like you're improving? Do you see what's wrong with the photos before you post them? or when someone point out the problems with the photo and you notice it right away? Seems like when someone points out a problem, you use an excuse to cover for it instead of "Oh dang I didn't' see it before but thanks for pointing out my mistake so I correct them next time." I know everybody learn at their own pace, but you really started off in the wrong foot on this forum and that's the reason why I think many are a bit harsher on you. GL and keep shooting!
I've been shooting seriously for since august. But this is my first people photography with anyone over 1 year old. Most of my time I photograph inatimate objects. And yes I do see the over saturation. Like I said I suck with people that's why I come here. I'm also doing a reshoot next week. So I need some advice what would you have done. As for people being harsh its fine with me as long as they are all constructive. Who is fired up.

I don't see anything wrong with location shooting.
See this is where i am the weakest at with my photography skills. I have a very technical uncreative mind.
This is crazy talk to me. How can you be a photographer if you're not creative? Honest question.
bitter how can you like this comment. You're the one who told me that one of my pics was very technical and lacked expression and a mood.

He is a bitter jeweler.

No I'm asking because it contradicts what he said

I take it that Jeweler meant a good photographer has to be both, technical and creative.
