My first photo shoots

So I got my first photo shoots done and under my belt. I thought I would share them with you guys. If anyone has any suggestions, they are welcome.

You are off to a good start; it looks like you have some great locations to shoot.
I would suggest doing a bit more work on composition; a lot of the photos would have more impact if they were not so centered. Try a couple of different crops and see what it does.

Spend what money you make on some lighting. You're getting underexposed faces because the sun is to the person's back.

thanks so much for the kind words. Yes, I agree.. lighting is much needed here and I would have liked it so much better if it was cloudy that day, but nothing I could have done.

What kind of lighting would you suggest here? Note that some of these shots were quite a hike up a steep rock/hill/mountain to get to.

maybe not enough lighting - I mean there's always fill-flash but to be honest... I'm not always a big fan of that. You could try reflectors or something to soften the light coming down on them... just a suggestion.

ok.. well there are two sets of photos.. one taken inside and the other taken outside.
The maternity photos taken by the blinds are suppose to be more of a silhouette.
Which set of photos are you talking about?
