Speaking as someone who has never taken a decent macro, I like this but, having the oof legs in the front seems like a scene killer for me.

Lew, the only method to have the eyes and the front legs in focus is stacking which I did not utilize to create the picture. With a macro lens even if you close it down to the minimum (F16 in this case), you still can't capture points that far away. I can't tell you have no experience in taking "a decent macro".
